Im Back
Just so people know, I have been away for a while on break. I didn't actually go anywhere, just took a break. I did a lot of work in the lab, but it was just another Kinetics Assay, seeing if we could get all the fibrin out of the gels in under 6, 3, 2, 1 hours. That Mon, Tues, Wed, and some of Thursday last week, and since then I have just been hanging out reading and playing WOW a little. BTW Warriors get the shaft in WOW, in case you didn't know. So I hope to update with something substantial after Tuesday, probably next weekend actually, so don't get too anxious.

Hrm... You'd think I would have paid attention to what it came out as huh? What we verified at that point was that the rate was entirely dependent on the diffusion properties of the gel, and changing the media, surprisingly, had very little effect on the diffusion rate at all. I believe that we did get most of the fibrin out of the gel within 18hrs, we think this difference was because we made a small variation to our method.
The enlightening part: Not much we can do to speed it up anymore than we already have done, AND I don't have to babysit my gels all night after encapsulation (I'm pretty happy abou that) to get all the fibrin out.
